CCTV Cameras To Be Set Up At PRTC Bus Stands; 16 Camers Installed At Patiala Bus Stand

With the aim to perk up defense and check misdeed against females at bus stands in Punjab, the Punjab administration has rolled out a pilot project with the aim to set up CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras at all Punjab Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus stands in phases.

Mr. DPS Kharbanda, Punjab Road Transport Corporation’s MD, stated that sixteen Closed Circuit Television cameras had been set up at the Patiala bus stand.

LED monitors will also be set up at the all Punjab Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) bus stands. These will exhibit the entrance as well as exit timings, counter figures and bus courses for the ease of the riders.

Mr. DPS Kharbanda also stated that the GPS (Global Positioning System) would be set up on the buses with the aim to discover the precise number of buses plying.
