Khalsa College Patiala All Set To Start Leadership Training Program
Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has accepted a sole initiative for giving leadership training to the civilized youth as SGPC-run Khalsa College in the city of Patiala rolled out an innovative course to train the youth as future heads.
On April 23, a function was organized to kick off a novel course of ‘Master of Leadership Development’ that has been sanctioned by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
During the occassion, SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar stated that the leadership was gaining a new significance in the present times owing to the ablactation of ethical moral and humanistic values in society in which there was a great need to have vivacious, zealous and top-drawer leaders laced with philanthropic traits.
He also added that such a programme would add reliable field-based learning experiences by permitting pupils to discover solutions to the mazy troubles linked with college and industrial setting.
Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia, Vice Chancellor, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib who was there, stated that the program was highly relevant in the globe no longer fragmented with the limitations of time, race and space.
Talking about the scope of the course, he said that for students it would be an exercise in focusing on their leadership journey and their impact on the organization.
The modern management skills will enhance their vision, skills of communication, capacity to solve problems and bring about much desired changes in various spheres. All these things will play a pivotal role in aiming their leadership qualities towards propelling positive atmosphere and vibrations.
