The Punjab cabinet has approved for Patiala’s filling and revival for the 175 vacant posts for the teaching and non-teaching staff in the Industrial Department. Apart from this 30 regular and 25 outsourced posts have been created for setting up as Instructor Training Wing with assistance from the World Bank at the Industrial Training Institute, Lalru.

This decision will help the state of Patiala to build its capacity for skill development and allow to start apprenticeship’s micro training, small and medium entrepreneurship along with providing quality training and help the youth of Patiala to gain employment.

To give the horticulture sector of Patiala impetus, the cabinet has allowed the recruitment of 45 Horticulture Development Officers (HDOs) by the Horticulture Department of Patiala. Apart from this HDOs Entomology and Pathology-5 nos and HDOs (soils) – 3 nos will also be recruited to provide effective services to the 5 citrus estates in Horticulture to Bhunga, Abohar, Tahliwal Hosiarpur and Badal. The cabinet also gave authority to Patiala to up-grade 6 HDOs as Assistant Director Horticulture.

Patiala also got grant extension for the contract of Health/Veterinary Pharmacist and sweepers working as service providers. Their basic has been set at 7000 Rs and 3000 Rs p.m respectively for the 582 veterinary hospitals and 1186 subsidiary health centers w.e.f June 2013 to 30-nov-2013. This layout is taken in public interest to stop the gap arrangement till 30-nov-2013 or till regular recruitment, which ever occurs earlier.

A view full ensures will be done in the health care and diagnostics facilities across the state of Patiala. The cabinet has also cleared proposal for fulfilling 129 posts of super specialists and medical teaching faculty of Medical Education and Research Department for the Medical colleges of Patiala and Amritsar. Out of these recruitment 80 will be posted to Surgical Oncology, Radiology, Oncology, Immuno-Haematology, Radio Therapy and Blood Transfusion of Govt Medical colleges of Patiala and Amritsar in order  to tackle the menace cancer, these posts will be quickly filled. The Departments selection committee will recruit on merit after taking preview on post out of Punjab Public Service Commission.

Apart from this Patiala has gotten the green signal to recruit 49 faculty for Medical Teaching which includes 5 lecturers, 12 professors and 13 senior lecturers from those medical colleges that are directly recruited on merit via the same committee that took them out of the PPSC purview.

512 Hindi Teachers on contract at a Rs 10,300 consolidated pay from April last year (2012) for the larger public interest has also been approved by the center for Patiala. These teachers got recruitment under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Financial Assistance for Appointment of Teachers in Non-Hindi States’, which by the end of the 9th G year plan was closed by GoI.

In order to boost Patiala’s Dairy farming and livestock a push to diverse agriculture, the cabinet has approved Patiala’s revival of 115 veterinary officers and 125 veterinary inspectors so better veterinary care can be provided to the dairy farmers. The cabinet also has allowed Patiala to amend rule 215, 216, 219, 220, 222, 225, 227,229, 231, 233, 234, 235 including the Punjab Motor Vehicle forms, rules, 1989 regulation Motor Vehicle Accident claims tribunal rule.

The implementation of this scheme is to ensure prompt release of the final benefits for the family victims.  The cabinet has also approved 214 posts for Patiala, Jalandhar and Amritsar’s Drug De-addiction centers in a result oriented manner to bring the youth away from the menace of drug addiction. The council of ministers is also going to contribute 10% of their discretionary funds at their disposal for the creation of Corpus fund to construct the Jang-E-Azadi memorial. The amount 2,87,50,000/- Rs for the estate of Jang-E-Azadi has been diverted direct to the foundation rather than the Cultrual Affairs Department.

It can be recalled that the cabinet in its meeting held on 23-oct-2012 had given a decision that every Cheif Parliamentary Seceratary (CPS) and Cabinet Minister is to annually contribute 7.5. lakhs and Rs 10 lakhs respectively from their discretionary funds. The cabinet has also given approval to Patiala to revive 16 posts for the Lokpal Punjab Office and ensure its smooth and effective functioning.

Punjab govt. had promised to fill up the veterinary officers vacant 115 posts by PPSC and 183 posts by zila parishad very soon before 7 months but not filled even yet….. its being too late and very unfare with public and unemployed’s hopes towards very active and progressive punjab govt regarding these kinds sweet pills, i request to pb.govt to fill all veterinary officers vacant posts as soon as posible as they promised…. THANKS
