4 Railway Stations Between Rajpura & Chandigarh
After a postponement of around 24 months, the railways lastly commenced a thorough review of the line between Rajpura and Chandigarh. The route is a significant one as it is utilized by hoards of travelers on a daily basis.
According to the early plan, there will be 4 railroad terminals between Rajpura and Chandigarh, comprising one at Zirakpur. After the examination, a complete report will be forwarded to the engineering section for additional planning.
As per station superintendent of Chandigarh railway station Parveen Kumar, “There is separate section for the review that has recently started its work and travelers will be benefitted with this novel line. In addition, Zirakpur, 3 more stations have been proposed at the appropriate distances on this particular way.”
“Besides the main railway lines, the northern railways is also concentrating on the small railway lines passing over significant towns of the area,” said a representative of the Ambala division on condition of secrecy.
Sources in the railways disclosed that according to plan, the Chandigarh-Rajpura way will primarily witness trains for small distances, but, afterward it could be utilized for speedy and superfast trains as well.
