Balwant Singh Rajoana Brought To Court, Hearsays Put To Rest

Putting an end to the conjecture that Balwant Singh Rajoana had been transferred to the national capital’s Tihar jail for implementation of his death sentence following the Beant Singh murder case, Khalistani terrorist was on May 01 taken to the court of additional civil judge (senior division) Deepika who composed charges against him in an Arms Act case.

At the last hearing on March 3, Balwant Singh had appeared v interna web-based conferencing, resulted into hearsays and even a story in a Punjabi daily stating that Singh had been transferred from the city prison to Tihar.

The police officials asked for explanations and this time, as he denied making use of the web facility, he was presented personally.

Police had cited safety fears and VIP visits to the city as causes for not bringing Singh to court previously.

This is the last case, dating back to the year 1999, pending against Balwant Singh, who has also been sentenced to ten years in an Explosive Act case by a city court.
