Chemists To Down Shutters On May 10

Chemists in Punjab are likely to shut down their shops this Friday as part of a countrywide stir against the planned introduction of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the pharmaceutical division.

Punjab Chemist Association President Surjit Mehta on May 06 stated that the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) had called the stir to demand the administration to lift the ban on planned medications, and for alterations in the Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Act, 2008.
