Female Smuggler Held With 10.5 Kg Contraband In Patiala

The Patiala police have detained a female smuggler named Simranjit Kaur near Urban Estate in the city of Patiala, two days back, with over 10.5 kilogram (kg) contraband worth Rs 2 crore.

Mr. Paramjit Singh Gill, Inspector-General of Police, Patiala region, stated that the city police had been functioning under a precise approach to nab drug addicts as well as contrabandists in the state of Punjab.

“On May 5, Simranjit, occupant of Dera Manisha Drauli in Patran, was held with 500 gram of the smuggled goods and the remaining was recovered from her house,” Gill said.

A case under the NDPS Act has been lodged.
