Heat Continues, Patiala Simmers
The city of Amritsar continued to register peak temperature at 43.8 degrees on May 26, accompanied by Ludhiana, which recorded 43.4 degrees and Hisar filed 43 degrees of heat.
Patiala as well as Ambala registered 42.7 and 42.4 degrees of highest temperature on May 26.
On May 27, the weather forecasters have anticipated a decrease of warmth to 41 and 42 degrees celsius.

UT Chandigarh registered maximum of 39.2 deg C with 0.1 millimeter of precipitation, Met office added.
In the state of Punjab, Ludhiana and Patiala where mercury was more than 43 degrees for the past few days, today registered highest temperature at 39.9 deg C and 40.1 deg C respectively.
