Heroin Case: Punjab Police Raid SI’s House
Whilst the key player of Fatehgarh Sahib Heroin haul, Jagdish Bhola is still escaping, Punjab police have zeroed down on one of its sub-inspectors supposedly assisting the absconding charged.
The Rs 130 crore drug haul commenced with detention of NRI drug-peddler Anoop Singh Kahlon and his partner in crime, on March 3.
Punjab Police have busted residence of SI Sarabjit Singh, close to an IG, in Nayagaon and recouped drugs worth lakhs. The related SI is thought to be absconding for many days and was not at residence when the raid was conducted.
According to police, Bhola, major supplier of illegal imports to Kahlon stayed at Sarabjit’s house till March 10. Olympian Vijender Singh and his pal Ram Singh’s name had also appeared suddenly after Kahlon named them as their clientele.
Vijender’s wife’s vehicle was also seen near Zirakpur house of Kahlon where 26 kilogram heroin worth Rs 130 crore was found. Vijender working as DSP in Haryana police had denied to give his blood tests to Punjab police and had continued his leave from NIS till holi.
Jagdish Bhola is a nationwide wrestling winner and ex Arjuna awardee and ‘Rustam-e-Hind’. He is thought to be the most important link in drug chain running crosswise many nations. His Mohali house was raided by police on March 8 and approximately 10 kg chemical utilized in manufacturing drugs together with Rs 8.7 lakh got recovered.
In the meantime, SI Sarabjit Singh has functioned under Harinder Singh Chahal, who stayed the SSP Ferozepur and SSP Faridkot for many years.
Sources disclosed that more than 1 kg of alkaloid and 5 kgs narcotic was recouped from Sarabjit’s house. He was fired from service for his so-called participation in a drug linked case but was reinstated accompanying interference of his seniors.
