It’s Prestige Battle In Patiala Region
The Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) get engaged in a prestige battle in the city, which boasts one Zila Parishad and 8 Block Samitis. Both the parties are trying their best in order to suppress internal strife.
Political campaigns in rustic zones have largely been a Shiromani Akali Dal show with Congress applicants and their backers detecting it hard to match the eagerness of the Shiromani Akali Dal workers.
The Congress cell is misdirected given the truth that big heads are not contributing it the type of support, which is necessary to win any poll. Whilst ex CM Amarinder Singh and his son Raninder Singh are neglecting the campaigning sight, Patiala Member of Parliament Preneet Kaur become part of the drive just a few days back.
“We are decided to oppose the Shiromani Akali Dal. We are leaving no stone unturned to battle the SAD thugs who are hell-bent on demoralising the Congress cadre,†added Patiala (Rural) Brahm Mohindra.
Infighting in the Shiromani Akali Dal has take the lead with the party ticket in several regions being assigned at the request of senior heads, brushing aside local leaders. In the city of Sanaur, local Youth Akali Dal head Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra clashed with local Shiromani Akali Dal head Tejinder Pal Singh Sandhu over ticket allocation
In the city of Nabha clashed Shiromani Akali Dal head Makhan Singh Lalka declared his list of applicants which was defended by workers led by Balwant Singh Shahpur. In both the zones, the issue was determined by senior Cabinet Ministers.
In Patiala (Rural) two Shiromani Akali Dal heads, comprising Harmail Singh Tohra, opposed the application of Shiromani Akali Dal head Satbir Singh, who had contended as an Independent and afterward become part of Shiromani Akali Dal.
Things are not too good for the Congress either with the important constituency of Samana almost head less. Raninder Singh has skipped the poll drive all in all and Preneeet Kaur has been busy in the national capital.
