Junior Engineer Held For Graft

The Vigilance Bureau has detained a Junior Engineer (JE) of the Power Corporation posted at Sanaur sub-division following the charges of taking Rs 10K instead of interchanging the transformer of a local agriculturist.

Sources added that the detained Junior Engineer (JE), Jugraj Singh, had allegedly asked for Rs 15K from Tejinder Singh, however the transaction got finalized at Rs 10K.

“We detained the charged from the house of the complainant and recovered the fund from his ownership,” added KD Sharma, DSP, Vigilance.
