Madan Mohan Mittal Denies Carelessness At Rajindra Hospital
Madan Mohan Mittal, Health Minister Punjab stated that the suspected Swine Flu sufferers are being handled in private zones in all the Government Hospitals in the state of Punjab.
In a press report, Madan Mohan Mittal sturdily discarded the Media tales in which it was depicted that Swine Flu sufferers are being handled keeping them in the intensive care unit with other patients at Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
Mittal added that after the publication of Media tales that Rajindra Hospital was breaching safety rules, a statement was required from Medical Superintendent, Rajindra Hospital Patiala.
He also stated that it has been disclosed in the report that a patient named Sangeeta was admitted in the Gynae Department on March 23, 2013, with Dyspnea.
Her condition speedily worsened. Physician directed Ventilator support to her. She was taken to intensive care unit and was placed on Ventilator, afterward Swine Flu was suspected and she was found positive for Swine Flu on March 27.
The patient was then shifted to Swine Flu ward with breathing machine, where she died on March, 30.
“Negligence found on the part of any physician in this regard, he would be taken to task,†Madan Mohan Mittal added.
