Olympian Sudha Singh Betters Meet Record At NIS Patiala
Olympian Sudha Singh bettered her 3-year-old meet record in females’ 3000m steeplechase timing 10 minutes 13.83 seconds to bag the gold on the 3rd day of the Senior Federation Cup athletic competition at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in the city of Patiala on April 25.
Wahida Rehman (CRPF) came a distant second in 10:52.43s.
In the men’s race, Haryana’s Jaiveer held the title clocking 8:57.86 after making it a stiff fight versus Rajasthan’s Naveen Kumar (8:58.38).
Long jumper Ankit Sharma opposed his title with a leap of 7.91m.
