Patiala With 8.09 Lakh Tonnes Of Wheat Procurement Stood At 3rd Spot
Administrative agencies in addition to private mill owners procured over 110.80 lakh tonnes of Wheat till May 27 evening.
Out of overall procurement of 110.80 lakh tonnes of wheat, administrative agencies procured around 98.8 per cent up till now whilst private dealers bought 1.29 per cent of wheat.
Till May 26, PUNGRAIN had bought 20.03 lakh tonnes (18.1 per cent) whilst MARKFED purchased 24.06 lakh tonnes (21.7 per cent). PUNSUP purchased 22.03 lakh tonnes (19.9%), PSWC bought 12.67 lakh tonnes (11.4 per cent) whilst PAIC was capable of purchasinge 10.42 lakh tones (9.4 per cent) of wheat.
The Central Government agency Food Corporation of India (FCI) had been capable of procuring 19.35 lakh tonnes of wheat that was the 17.5 per cent of the overall procurement of wheat in Punjab.
The spokesperson stated that the region Sangrur with 09.47 lakh tonnes of procurement was topping in procurement functions whilst region Ludhiana with 08.64 lakh tonnes of procurement remained at second spot and District Patiala with 8.09 lakh tonnes of procurement stood at third place.
