Film makers, Kuljinder Sidhu and Dinesh Sood; directors Mandeep Benipal and Gaurav Kakkar; and the key cast stated that fallacies were produced regarding the movie by a segment of the society, however they were all unjustified.

This would be the first Punjabi movie based on genuine occasions.

One of the film makers stated, “Sadda Haq has been made with a good objective and on a unique storyline. The turbulence and travails between 1980’s and mid-1990’s pushed the youth rtowards inhumanity. Many lives were lost. This film is a dramatised adaptation of facts and events as they had happened in the past.”

Elucidating the genuine idea of the film, the makers stated that it was significant to take lessons from past mistakes in an attempt to form a better future in which these were not repeated.
