SIT Questions Parampreet’s Family
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to probe the Parampreet Kaur slaughter case in which Patiala’s ex mayor Jaspal Singh Pradhan has also been charged, came across to the city and gathered info from the dead’s family.
The deceased’s father Amarjeet Singh Sodhi, uncle Tajinder Singh Sodhi and her two sisters were called by the crime branch office at the mini secretariat, Patiala.
The crime branch questioned Parampreet’s family members for around 5 hours.
The administration had made Special Investigation Team that was headed by IG, state crime, Shashi Prabha Dwivedi and DIG R.K. Jaiswal.
As per Parampreet’s family, the Special Investigation Team had called them up to give their report. The declaration has been taken once more.
The family members also said that when they questioned the Special Investigation Team why didn’t they detain ex mayor of Patiala Jaspal Singh Pradhan, the team answered that Jaspal is underground and is still out of sight and owing to this they have been unable to arrest him.
It must be remebered that Parampreet Kaur, an occupant of Kashmiriyan Wala Toba, was killed on February 23. The police had filed a case against his father-in-law, his son Harpreet Singh and Harpreet’s mom Paramjeet Kaur.
The dead’s family had staged dharnas for days and owing to this the police harassed had to seize Harpreet and Paramjeet.
