Thapar Pupils Begin Drive Against Vulgarity In Movies
The academicians and pupils of Thapar University, Patiala, on May 01 started a letter drive against the growing use of rude language in the Hindi flicks. They mailed letters penned in English as well as Hindi to Bollywood biggies as well as directors, urging them to refrain from making use of foul words in flicks.
ADC Anandita Mitra also becomes part of the movement; Prof Gagandeep Kaur, the brains behind the operation, accompanies suit.
Mitra and Kaur were joined by Director of Thapar University and Seema Bawa, Dean, Students’ Welfare Development, Patiala, Dr KK Raina, Anandita Mitra, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC).
In the notes, they valuated Bollywood for defending the cause of female empowerment however also lifted up worry over the rude use of language that had made it hard for families to enjoy Hindi films together.

Students Abhishek and Ruby stated, “Even though we have no issues at intermingling with the opposite gender, we feel slightly intimidated at watching these movies together what with the raunchy scenes in films in recent times.
