Vijender Not Attended Boxing Trial Camp In Patiala
Country’s Olympic medalist Vijender Singh has not attended the boxing audition camp in the city of Patiala. Involvement in the boxing camp is needed for the Singh’s selection.
Boxing Federation Vice President Nivaran Mukherjee stated, “Singh hasn’t come for the auditions. If he doesn’t be present at the camp tomorrow he will be unsuccessful to meet the criteria or the next contest.”
On Friday, the Punjab Police stated that Vijender has not been excused in the noteworthy drug scandal.
The police officials added that it will not agree to details of the dope examination on Vijender carried out by the National Anti Doping Agency (NADA) as it has no lawful strength.
After denying providing samples to Punjab Police, the boxer, whose name popped up in the high-status Mohali drug haul, had on Friday made himself available for an out-of-rivalry dope examination by NADA functionaries.
Fatehgarh Sahib SSP HS Mann added that the police cannot agree to the NADA examination report as it has no legal strength.
In the meantime, Vijender’s sparring mate Ram Singh, caught on Thursday night after more than 3 weeks of everyday questioning, was on Friday remanded in police custody till April 7.
