Rajpura (Patiala): Punjab Police officials have detained Rs. 5.4 lakh in fake currency long with West Bengal man in connection with the seizure.

Parents To Move TO Punjab and Haryana High Court

Pak Convict Discharged From Hospital

Visiting physicians stated that there might be high occurrence of illnesses such as Hepatitis-C and HIV among the jail inmates as the use of a single syringe to induce drugs was frequent amongst them. Physicians felt the unexpected increase in number of deaths in the jail might be due to the use of adulterated drugs.

Cylinder Blast Injures Man In Patiala

Mr. Mittal further stated that under National Health Insurance plan, the state administration has also determined to offer up Medical Insurance of Rs. 30 thousand to the 5.23 lakh BPL families of Punjab.

He stated that for the 10 lakh families covered under Atta-Dal plan, a latest Medical Insurance system would shortly be commenced.

He added that under this projected new Medical plan the premium of Rs. 400 alleged to be paid per family would be paid by Punjab administration.

“The Punjab administration has allocated a budget of Rs 20 crore for these novel systems,” the Minister added.

‘Balri Rakshak Yojana’ Not Getting Positive Response

A state- supported welfare plan to support the birth of more girls to reinstate the stability in sex proportion is running dud for the last 8 year period.

Since the year 2005, just 66 couples have registered themselves in Patiala region under the Balri Rakshak Yojana started by the Punjab administration.

‘Balri Rakshak Yojana’ Not Getting Positive Response

On a monthly basis, the said plan puts Rs. 500 into the account of every female who is a single kid of non-income-tax-paying parents who preferred for sterilisation after her delivery.

The female obtains the incentive till the time she is 18 or until any of the parents turn into tax payer. The incentive gets increased to Rs 1,000 if the parents have only two female kids and yet have gone in for sterilisation.
