“I am Ritu n my son was beaten on 19th of this month by his PT teacher in the presence of Principal Mam. The name of school is New Delhi Public School, which is in urban estate, Patiala, Punjab. The name of principal is Charanjeet Kaur Ji, PT teacher name is Ajmer Singh Ji. The child is 4+ years old. His name is Agamjot. He is in class Prep-1. They are giving several lame reasons to mother and cops. The child was treated by Rajindra Hosp. doctor shown privately at his clinic. And now the doctor has denied to make prescription on letterhead (as it asked by police officers) because he is afraid of losing his job.
This is a photo of one side. Next day, my daughter was also punished because she is his sister.
Urban Estate police station denied to launch the complaint because the school belongs to Mr.Dardi(owner of school, who is politically strong person)..

Indian government bans corporal punishment in schools
NEW DELHI: Spare the rod, or end up in jail. That’s the latest warning to teachers who resort to corporal punishment. The Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued a new set of guidelines that bans physical punishment of students.
First violation of the ban will invite up to one year in jail, or a fine of Rs. 50,000 or both. For subsequent violations, imprisonment could be extend to 3 years with an additional fine of 25,000 rupees. Heads of schools will be responsible to prevent corporal punishment. Teachers found guilty could be denied promotion, and even increments.
A child rights cell will be set up in all schools where children can lodge a complaint.
Apart from this, the government is also working on the final draft of the Prevention of Child Offences Bill where even parents, realtives and neighbours can be punished for hitting children. The draft bill is expected include not just physical or sexual abuse, but also verbal abuse, molestation and ragging.
